A heart turned cold
this is an interactive installation, interpreting the H.C. Andersen fairytale "The Snow Queen".
made possible with touchdesigner, the viewer sensed both a flourishing rose garden, & an ice cold forest, leading to the Queens Castle.
the project is an experiment with storytelling, remixing videos, and mapping them onto a surface.
the installation was built with lace curtains, cardboard, carton and plastic.
the centerpiece is an enchanted mirror, showing you the inner life of Kay - a boy whose heart turns to ice after meeting the Snow Queen.
on the curtains, the visuals represent the environment and the memories, surrounding the inner life.
in front of the mirror, the viewer is invited to sit and listen to the story as an audio book.
made this 2gether with victoria & gustav.
